Winter Birds?

Sitting at the dining room table at lunch today, gazing at the drifts of snow, we spotted 5 robins in the backyard tree. Perhaps they also were fooled by the groundhog into thinking we would have an early spring. 5 robins in mid February?

A few moments later we were treated to an incoming flock of cedar waxwings. They make an annual trip to strip the berries of a tree in the yard - usually only here for a day but I don't remember them coming this early.
