Recovery

After battling tornadoes, fire and the worsening economy in recent years, Nappanee is finally getting a chance to stop and smell the flowers — literally.

At the entrance of McCormick Creek Golf Course here, a quilt-inspired garden titled "Recovery" has been planted to represent the rebuilding the town is undergoing after the hardships it has recently faced. The project is part of the Quilt Gardens Tour that has returned to Elkhart County for its second year.
