Prescription Drug Disposal

Area residents have an opportunity to safely discard old prescription drugs.  Disposal dates are Thursday, September 23 from 6-8 pm and Friday, September 24 from 8 am to Noon at the Nappanee Police Department.  For more information call 574-773-4111. 
Event sponsors are the Nappanee Police Department, Nappanee Neighborhood Watch and Elkhart County T.R.I.A.D.  Residents are asked not to flush, burn or throw outdated prescription medicines in the trash. Drugs can harm the environment or others if they fall into the wrong hands, stresses the groups offering the safe discard program.
