Second Saturday - January 8

Winter Wonderland
is the theme of the
January 8 Second Saturday

This month's activities include a sleigh ride, a snow village and snowballs... fun for the whole family to enjoy. Sleigh rides will be available from 1 to 3 p.m., leaving from the Depot Plaza, one-and-a-half blocks south of town square. Rides are free, but donations are accepted.

If conditions allow, families will be invited to help build a "snow village" at the corner of Main and Walnut Streets from noon to 4 p.m. Families can bring their own accessories, like hats or coal, to help decorate.

At Martin's Hardware, 151 E. Market St., Denny Martin will be hurling snowballs on his catapult from 1 to 2 p.m.

Kids can make snowman thermometers between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the Nappanee Public Library. Kids can also make a bookmark at Light of Grace Book and Gift Store, 401 E. Market St., and "floating snowflakes" at All Season's Tent and Party Rental, 109 S. Main St.

Other businesses and restaurants will be offering their own specials during Nappanee's Second Saturdays.
